Biltmore/ Camelback Corridor
Preview Homes for Sale in Biltmore/Camelback Corridor

Biltmore is a master-planned community right in the heart of Phoenix and just northeast of downtown.  Named for its most recognizable asset (the famed Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa), the region is situated near 24th Street and Camelback and includes some of the most prime real estate in Phoenix.
The Camelback Corridor includes the Biltmore area and more.  Though the boundaries vary depending on whom you ask, for the sake of this website and real estate offered within its region, I am considering the area to be East to West from AZ 51 to 44th Street, and North to South from Lincoln Drive to Campbell Avenue (excluding the small portion of Paradise Valley that dips into the northeast corner).
Amenities within this area are abundant.  At the center of Biltmore is, of course, the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa.  Built in 1929 and designed by famous American architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, the famed Arizona Biltmore is commonly known as “The Jewel of the Desert” and considered one of the most prestigious resorts in the valley.
Originally owned by the Wrigley family (of Wrigley’s chewing gum), next to the resort, atop a 100-ft knoll, you’ll find the family’s former “winter cottage”.   This historic Wrigley Mansion was purchased by local millionaire, George Hormel, in 1992.  Zoning restrictions required that the home be operated as a private club, but because Mr. Hormel was an egalitarian and wanted everyone to be able to enjoy the beautiful home, he decided to set the annual membership dues at $10.  These dues still apply today and locals enjoy drinking, dining and celebrating special occasions at the beautiful estate.
Adjacent to the resort is the Arizona Biltmore Country Club which features a challenging 36-hole design.  The two 18-hole courses, The Adobe and The Links, are considered premier championship courses in the valley and offer spectacular views of PiestewaPeak, lush greens and trickling ponds.
Shopping in the area includes the BiltmoreFashionPark with the area’s only Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s and other mid-to-high-end shopping including Ralph Lauren and the exclusive Hyde Park Jewelers.  Also nearby is Fashion Square Mall, and many people’s bargain-basement favorite- Last Chance, the clearance center for Nordstrom stores across the nation.
Restaurant selection here is considered by many to be the best in the valley:  Morton’s of Chicago (steak), Steamers (seafood), RoxSand Scocos (contemporary fusion), and Baby Kay’s Cajun Kitchen, just to name a few.
Residential properties in the area include single-family homes ranging from small homes built as early as the 1920s, to new exclusive estate properties valued in the multi-millions.  Most homes in the area share the common element of featuring oversized lots with mature landscaping and beautiful views of the surrounding Piestewa Peak and Camelback Mountains.
Condominium and townhome choices vary from smaller complexes built in the 1960s, to luxury, gated complexes including Two Biltmore Estates (located on the Biltmore Golf Course), and exclusive high-rises:  Esplanade Place,  Optima Biltmore and 2211 Camelback.
Single-family homes currently on the market in the Camelback Corridor range from $205,125 for an 1,3455-sf, 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath home built in 1952; to $2,400,000 for a 7,500-sf Biltmore estate.
Condominium and townhome prices currently range from $149,000 for an 1,164-sf, 1 bedroom, 1 .75bath unit at Biltmore Reserve Condominiums built in 1962; to $1,748,000 for 3,860 sf luxury condominium nearing completion at Two Biltmore Estates.
With the vast variety of housing options in the area, homes and condos sold in the last 3 months ranged from a sales price of $79 to $4 p50er sf.
