Sincuidados was ‘born” in 1985 with a master plan aimed at achieving three design principles:

• Develop a community of approximately 400 defined home sites (originally 1½  - 2 acres).
• Preserve the natural open spaces and environments of Sincuidados’ rocky, desert and mountain-enclosed setting.
• Provide each homeowner perpetual assurance that their views will be unobstructed and their home settings will be protected by restrictions on individual lots for the placement of new homes.

Once established, Sincuidados experienced several rocky years of slow growth, economic slowdown and management volatility in 1985-2000 – this turbulent history of Sincuidados is well-documented (See here).  The community has now emerged from this volatile beginning and developed into a spectacular community with most of the original design principles in place.

Today, Sincuidados is gated with nearly 400 luxury homes situated on about 500 acres divided into large 1-2 acre lots.  Most homes are a southwestern style with lovely mountain views and high desert surroundings.  These 400 residences comprise three main sections of Sincuidados.  All three are interconnected with winding streets that showcase the beauty of the homes, cul-de-sacs that enhance the feeling of neighborhoods, and efficient access through three gated entrances.

A fourth section of adjacent land  (approximately 80 acres) was purchased by local philanthropists H.B. and Jocelyn Wallace and donated to Sincuidados and The Mountain Preserve.  This land is protected by a conservation easement with the Desert Foothills Land Trust.  Within this natural high desert setting, the Wallaces created walking trails and established the 11-acre Wallace Botanical Garden known for its cactus and other desert plant life.

Sincuidados is perfectly situated in the high desert above Scottsdale and surrounded by famous natural settings – Troon Mountain, Pinnacle Peak and Lone Mountain.  The Sincuidados’ residential community has several amenities onsite – tennis courts, a clubhouse, walking and jogging trails, access to the mountains and natural areas, plus an active community association.  The community is also well located in North Scottsdale and only minutes away from a plethora of world-class shopping, dining, resorts and many championship golf courses.  More adventurous residents can also enjoy rock climbing, horseback riding, biking and off-roading.
Homes currently available for sale in Sincuidados range in price from $750,000 for 3,736 sf; to $2,899,000 for a 6,811 sf masterpiece with unobstructed mountain and city light views.  Homes sold in the last 3 months in Sincuidados sold for an average of $207 per sf.
